Praying the Word of God for the Lost

Who isn't praying that God would save certain lost people they know? When I'm praying for such people, I usually say something like, "Father, save them. Do for them what you did for me..." and so on. A few weeks ago, I noticed a couple of verses in John, ones that I've read before but not really connected with praying for others, even though I guess it seems obvious.

This is Jesus speaking (John 5:44 & 65):

"No one can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day."

..."For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me, unless it has been granted him from the Father."

So now I can also pray for the lost by asking God to draw them. I know I have prayed that in the past, but I didn't have it in my head at the time that God MUST draw them, otherwise they CANNOT come to Jesus. Now I can have that be central to my prayers and know that I am praying the Word of God with specificity.

Luke Wood: The Sound of War

I recently acquired Luke Wood's new CD, The Sound of War, and I wanted to recommend it to you. This is easily one of my favorites. It is anointed worship music that ministers to me every time I listen to it. Most of the lyrics are straight Scripture.
